1. ENGINEERING DESIGN
ENGINEERING DESIGN
Engineering at STRR acts as a fundamental function to the construction activity. The function commences as soon as the marketing department confirms the order.
It is then that Engineering develops the designs as per the client's requirement. These drawings are prepared as per the standards & the specifications of the projects.
Then the department also raises the purchase requisition based on the client's requirements.
STRR's engineering team consists of four groups
1. Vessels & Heat Exchangers Team Produces Mechanical Designs and Manufacturing Drawings, using Compress Design package and AutoCAD to aid production.
2. Storage Equipment Team Produces Mechanical Designs and Manufacturing Drawings, using AME-Tank Design package and AutoCAD to aid fabrication.
3. Piping Systems Team Produces System Design, Line Routing and generates Isometric Drawings, using Auto Plant package to facilitate manufacture. Pipe stresses are then evaluated using Auto Pipe design package.
4. Structural Team Produces complete structural designs, calculation and manufacturing drawings, utilizing STAAD Pro, with procurement BOQ being produced during the design phase, which in turn helps schedule and control of procurement costs

2. MATERIAL PROCUREMENT
STRR purchase department follows the engineering after the Purchase requisition has been raised. The errands of this department include generating quotes from 3-4 reliable suppliers which may be (local or international). Based on the quotations received and the quality, prices and delivery dates, a final supplier is approved and the order for the material is made.
The department also takes care of the delivery dates. When the dates arrive, the software allows the department to generate reminders to the suppliers.
Using the integrated design systems facilitated by Engineering, the procurement team works closely with the latest BOQ to source materials & gain delivery in a timely manner. Our experienced team has good knowledge of local stockists, plus worldwide material outlets - this in turn ensures that they can meet the schedule and costing restrictions of modern projects.
3. FABRICATION
After the procurement department confirms the completion of purchase process, the work of fabrication department comes into effect. The fabrication department works on the drawings (standards plus specifications of the project).
This department also manages to hire the additional labor required for the completion of projects on time. Apart from this the department also deals with the shipping and export department for the logistics related issues.
The department also has to work in close union with the Quality department to assure that the best quality is preserved throughout the process. This is the stage where the paper plans are rendered reality.
STRR have pooled resources from Thailand's skilled labour, with employees who are able to carry out various skills, which includes fabrication, installation and erection of piping, vessels, storage tanks and structures.
STRR's workshop is fully equipped with a wide range of fabrication machinery and is located on a site with a covered area of 7,400m2 and an open area of 16,000 m2, which ensures that all types and sizes of fabrication work can be accommodated. This capability is reflected in STRR's current equipment turnover of more than 1200 metric tons per annum. The STRR fabrication shop is situated 200 kilometers south east of Bangkok and 40 kilometers east of the international port at Map-ta-phut, giving STRR the ability to transport projects within Thailand and internationally.
4. INSTALLATION
STRR is also providing supervision, labour, equipment, materials, tools, and supplies for installation as part of the contract with the scope of supply of mechanical equipment.
The mechanical equipment shall be installed in accordance with all applicable client specifications, federal, state and local codes, standards, rules, regulations and laws which STRR has vast experienced with.
